3080. Sent in by a visitor who would like to identify this device, his description of it:
"Lever A rotates about 90 degrees clockwise and is spring returned to the position shown. It does not interact with any other part of the apparatus. Dial B moves piece C laterally. The pin that goes through piece C can be pulled out. The whole upper apparatus rotates 360 degrees on plate D with click-stops as indicated by the marks on this plate."

  2. 3081. Dishwasher spray arm, removed from the machine and you're looking up the central part where the water goes in.

  3. 3080: any marking indicating a military origin? It resembles at Traversing and Elevating mechanism for machine guns or possibly mortars.

    1. There is no marking indicating a military origin but your answer is correct, it's for an M3 0.5 caliber machine gun.

    2. I believe that M3 in this case refers to the tripod. The M3 .50 caliber gun was usually mounted in aircraft, and didn't use a T&E mechanism.
