1778. Sent in by a visitor who found this unidentified piece of hardware at an estate sale, his description of it:
-larger diameter is brass or bronze and the other piece is steel
-3.75" h x 2.5" w
-marked AIIRFI or possibly AHRFI
-about 5 lbs
-owner was retired from the railroad
1779. 5" long, the largest hole is 1/4" diameter:
