2664: For priming the touchhole of a cannon?
ReplyDelete2664 is for corking wine bottles. It opens to insert a cork, which is then rammed by the piston down the truncated cone, compressing it until it squeezes into the neck of the bottle.

2660 was found abandoned in the woods, it was part of a machine that was normally used indoors.

2660: A pointer? Insert a flashlight into the bottom and a small transparency (say of an arrow) into the film holder in the middle to project an image of an arrow during during a lecture or what not.
