2298. An anti-theft pocket watch attachment, when pulled by the chain the spikes would catch in the fabric of the pocket, patent number 1,450,848:

  4. 2298 Watch Protecting Device. This was clipped to a pocket watch to protect it from a pickpocket. Patented in 1925.
