Set 311

For first time visitors I recommend this archive for some of my best posts.



1777. Approximately 28" long:






























1778. Sent in by a visitor who found this unidentified piece of hardware at an estate sale, his description of it:
-larger diameter is brass or bronze and the other piece is steel
-3.75" h x 2.5" w
-marked AIIRFI or possibly AHRFI
-about 5 lbs
-owner was retired from the railroad
































1779. 5" long, the largest hole is 1/4" diameter:

    1779 Trimmer of some sort, wicks perhaps?

  6. 1777: Pot trivet/handle fulcrum for handling a pot over a hearth.

    1779: Pencil sharpener (vertical motion, not rotary.)

    1780: Matchbox.

    1782: Tube cutter.
